Brachioplasty (Arm Reduction)

Brachioplasty is useful to remove an excess of skin with some underlying fat from the underside of the upper arms. It is frequently used for patients who have lost skin tone with aging or have lost significant amounts of weight.

The incision is placed on the underside of the upper arm and extends up to the armpit. The excess skin and fat are removed and the skin resutured. A more defined upper arm without redundant hanging skin is produced.

It requires a short general anaesthetic and usually an overnight stay.
