Consultation and Fee Guidelines

The consultation consists of a full discussion to establish your particular requirements for cosmetic, plastic or reconstructive surgery, a review of your medical history and a clinical examination.

A set of pre-operative photographs is usually taken at the time of consultation.

The options for treatment will be fully discussed in detail including information regarding the procedure, recovery time, anticipated result and associated risks.

The consultation fee is payable at the time of consultation and can be paid by cheque, cash or debit/credit card. It includes further pre-operative visits where required.

The surgical and anaesthetic fees are payable ten days in advance and can be paid by debit/credit card, cheque or cash. These include post-operative out-patient visits.

The hospital fee is payable on admission at the Runnymede and Lister hospitals, and 10 days in advance at the Princess Grace. It can be made by debit/credit card, cheque or cash.

A number of financing options are available for those patients who require financing for their procedure.

Preparation for Surgery

It is important for patients to avoid smoking ideally for at least 2 weeks prior to surgery and for at least 1 week after. This improves blood supply to the skin and other tissues, improving healing and reduces the risk of blood clots forming in the circulation.

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as aspirin and ibuprofen should also be avoided for a minimum of 2 weeks prior to surgery to prevent excessive bleeding or bruising post-operatively.
