Prominent Ear Correction

Correction of prominent ears can significantly improve overall facial appearance and attractiveness.

The procedure is relatively straightforward and usually comprises the insertion of a number of permanent sutures to the posterior surface of each ear. These are used to improve ear shape and set the ears back closer to the scalp.

The technique can also be used to correct asymmetry between the two sides.

The procedure is usually performed under general anaesthetic as a day case. Post-operatively a head-dressing is worn for a few days followed by a protective headband at night for up to six weeks.
