Static Correction

Older or less medically fit patients are generally not suitable for a dynamic muscle transfer reconstruction using microsurgery to recreate facial movements. They are better served by less complex procedures such as the use of fascial slings, using tissue from the thigh, to correct facial appearance at rest. They are often combined with eyelid surgery to protect the eye. Brow and face-lift type procedures are used to correct descent of facial tissues and improve overall facial appearance.
